My experience as a speaker at last year’s NetWork BiH conference was incredibly positive, new and refreshing. Despite having given lectures for years, this was my first time speaking at an IT conference. The uncertainty about what to expect, how the participants would receive the topic, and whether they would even be interested made it particularly intriguing.

I wasn’t sure how many people would attend, but the turnout exceeded my expectations. The room was packed, with people standing along the sides. The audience responded enthusiastically, immediately expressing that they found the lecture both interesting and useful. This positive feedback led to my lecture being voted the best-rated at the conference.

What stood out most to me was the positive atmosphere. People were socializing, laughing, and there was always something happening. In such an environment, making business deals was an added bonus.

Unfortunately, due to other commitments, I arrived late on the second day and missed the opportunity to attend other lectures or panel discussions. Next time, I plan to stay longer to fully participate in the discussions.

The organization and atmosphere of the event were top-notch. Everything ran smoothly, leaving a great overall impression. I highly recommend everyone in the IT sector to attend this year’s NetWork conference. Beyond the interesting and useful lectures, there are plenty of opportunities to meet people from the industry, develop business opportunities, and network, which can sometimes be more valuable than technical knowledge.

From my experience giving various lectures, my advice to new speakers is to focus on making their presentations useful to the audience. It’s easy to lecture and use technical jargon to showcase your knowledge, but it’s much more important that your content is easily understood and beneficial to those listening. Keeping the atmosphere relaxed and interactive is crucial.

For participants, I recommend engaging in a variety of activities – from presentations and socializing to business talks and entertainment. A balanced mix of everything is key to making the most out of the conference.
