Back to the future: Digital signature as a turning point in business in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Digitization of business processes is becoming imperative in the modern world, and the central point of that revolution is the digital signature. Bosnia and Herzegovina, with its oscillations between striving for modernization and adherence to tradition, faces a challenge: how to adopt and implement this technology in its business environment? And while some segments of society have already accepted the advantages of a digital signature, is there systemic readiness for the complete digitization of business processes, starting with the signature itself?

Given that the technical infrastructure for the application of digital signatures is present, and the legal framework is still looking for its final form, the question arises: Is Bosnia and Herzegovina ready for the complete transformation brought about by digital signatures?

In light of the questions and challenges that BiH is facing, the NetWork 11 conference, which will be held from October 18 to 20 at the Grand Hotel Neum, brings a particularly interesting panel discussion. The panel is entitled "Back to the future: How does digital signature change business in Bosnia and Herzegovina?" and is realized under the auspices of the eCommerce Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through this discussion, experts from different fields will provide comprehensive insights into the world of digital signatures, its advantages, but also the challenges facing BiH.

Aleksandar Mastilović, consultant for ICT, Cybersecurity & Smart Cities, will moderate the panel. Almedin Kadrić, director of Penny plus and Penny market, will present how companies see and adapt this new technology.
Stipo Sumić, expert for Digital Trust Services - IT Systems Croatia, will offer insights into best practices from the region.
Srđan Ožegović, a member of the ProCredit Bank Management Board, will discuss the implementation of digital signatures in the banking sector.

Talks and discussions are expected that will consider the current state of the digital signature in BiH, exploring challenges and obstacles on the way to its full implementation. In addition, the focus will be on education and raising awareness of the benefits of digital signatures, offering insights from the region and beyond. "Back to the future" will not only be the name of the panel, but also an opportunity for those present to see how digital signature can transform the business scene in BiH, laying the foundations for a more transparent and economically stronger business environment.
