The financial world has never been more dynamic and exciting, and the key lies in the phenomenon known as Fintech - the combination of advanced technological solutions and finance. With the support of European directives, including PSD2, open banking is becoming a central topic of conversation in our region as well.

At the forthcoming NetWork conference, scheduled for the period from October 18 to 20 at the Grand Hotel Neum, there will be a panel entitled Fintech in Bosnia and Herzegovina - both a chance and a challenge. On the first day, known as Business Day, among others, experts and leaders from the field of Fintech and traditional banking will gather to discuss the vision of the future of the financial sector not only in Bosnia and Herzegovina but also in a wider regional context.

An expert in the banking sector, Merima Mahmutović, who currently works as Senior Manager SEE in the field of bank strategy, transformation and technology at PwC, will moderate the panel. Thanks to his rich experience, he will lead a discussion in which the key points of the development of the Fintech ecosystem will be considered.

Prominent panelists who will share their professional opinions and experiences are:

  • Jasmin Mahmuzić, director of the Banking Agency of the Federation of BiH, who will provide insight into regulatory aspects and potential for the development of the financial sector in BiH.
  • Orhan Gazibegović, Unit Manager for BiH, Montenegro and Macedonia at Monri Payments, will focus on innovation and game-changing solutions for payment and digital transformation.
  • Amir Trokić, director of business development at Mastercard for Bosnia and Herzegovina, will explore modern technological possibilities and the potential of strategic partnerships.
  • Lidija Žigić, President of the Management Board of NLB Banka d.d. in Sarajevo, will consider the adaptability of traditional banking to new trends.
  • Hrvoje Ćosić, founder and CEO of Aircash, will share his experience in developing financial products in an environment that is constantly evolving.
  • Siniša Adžić, President of the Management Board of Nova banka AD Banja Luka, will investigate how continuous training and education can reflect on strategic management and innovation in the banking sector.

Through a dynamic and detailed discussion, the panel will explore the current state and future of the financial sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
