Docs Don’t Write Themselves… Or Do They?

Why is documentation always an afterthought?
Because developers hate writing it, no one reads it, and most of it is outdated by the time it hits the wiki.

In this talk, we go back to basics — not with templates or tooling — but by asking why documentation fails in real teams, and what we can do about it. From forgotten READMEs to cryptic code comments and "TODO: write later", we’ll laugh through the common sins of dev docs and talk honestly about how to fix them.

We’ll also take a realistic look at how tools like GitHub Copilot and GPT-style assistants can give us a head start without taking over the writing entirely. You'll leave with practical ideas, a few AI tricks, and renewed motivation to stop treating documentation like a punishment.
