Why I almost gave up on QA

At the beginning of my career, I had a completely wrong idea about QA as a career, I thought it wasn't a technical role and that QA just served to check the AC, click around, report bugs robotically and that's it. The positive side of this misconception is that I thought about changing careers and moving to development, so I learned a lot about coding which helped me in the long run.

After getting to know more QAs from the community and changing projects my impression of QA changed drastically, I realized that as a QA you need to have a broad set of technical and soft skills, which appealed to the generalist in me greatly. Sometimes things that we may see as negative can be great learning opportunities for us and also provide us a chance to question and deal with personal biases we all have.
